The home hub

To run automations and control your home when you're away, Apple Home uses a home hub — an Apple TV or HomePod. Alexa and Google use an Echo or Nest device. We set up the hub, the app and your scenes as part of every installation.

Does DURO home automation work with Siri and the Apple Home app?

Yes. Every DURO home works with Siri and the Apple Home app on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch — as well as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and the DURO app on Android.

Do I need an Apple TV or HomePod?

For automations and remote control when you're away, Apple Home uses a home hub — an Apple TV or HomePod. We set it up as part of the installation.

Can family members with Android phones use it?

Yes. They can use the DURO app on Android, Google Assistant or Alexa — the same devices and scenes work everywhere.

Can my iPhone unlock the front door?

Yes. With a compatible smart lock, a Home Key in Apple Wallet lets your iPhone or Apple Watch open the door.
